Because That’s Life

The aim of this body of work is to normalise scars and imperfections. Using ethereal lighting and soft shadows, the images portray a sense of feminine identity to help de-stigamtise the beauty ideals women are struck with through the media. These images show that scars and stretch marks are normal ‘because that’s life’.
