Cabaret

Two zines that illustrate the cabarets of 1890’s Paris and 1930’s Berlin, forming a series of imagery that examines hedonistic counter cultures of various spatio-temporal locales.

  • An illustration of a cabaret girl, sat in a large glass of absinthe, drinking from a small glass of absinthe.
  • An illustration of playing cards, depicting stars of the Moulin Rouge cabaret, their attributes being rated by 'Sensuality', 'Star Quality' and 'Controversiality'.
  • An illustration depicting cabaret star 'Marya Delvard', a close up of half of her face in the foreground, with a full body illustration by the side of it.
