Drawings and documents produced for conservation projects.

This showcase displays drawings and documents produced for various conservation projects during my degree.

Drawing is a great way to document an object before working on it as a drawing can show information not evident in a photograph. Graphic design can be very effective in communicating important information about preventive conservation to non-specialists in the museum field.

  • Three diagrams of broken glass bottles. The diagrams show how the fragments fit together.
  • Technical drawings of a spearhead, showing surface texture and outline of the spearhead before and after conservation treatment.
  • Diagrams of a 19th century book, showing the structure of the binding before and after conservation treatment.
  • Documents displaying information about preventive conservation.
